Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress
from the US. She is well-known for her roles on American daytime television, as
well as episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer won the
Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap series
General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in CBS's soap the show The
Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the
daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a
Conservative rabbi. The family later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until,
after the divorce of her parents] she moved with her brother and father David
to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer
was five years old. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their
father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the
Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus
(New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was
rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High
School she attended Montclair State College. Sofer initially appeared as Lois
Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as an administrator of a
band. Her first television role was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap
hosts. Perhaps her most famous role is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General
Hospital from December 15, 1993 to September 24 the 24th of September, 1996. In
the following years, she was guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997
between September 30th and October 2, 1997). Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy
Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Drama Series for her
portrayal as Lois. Sofer has joined CBS's soap-opera The Bold and the Beautiful
as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The first episode aired in July
2013. Sofer has been a support cast member/guest star in a number of top-rated
primetime television series, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. Her debut
episode aired July 12.
