Priyanka Chopra Biography

Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur (India) on July 18 1982. Chopra won Miss India in her high school and then was crowned Miss World 2000. Following that international popularity, Chopra became a star in Bollywood and turned her attention to film. American television helped her become an international star on Quantico which is an FBI drama which ran from 2015-2018. Chopra also garnered attention for her marriage to Nick Jonas in December 2018. She was in her debut Bollywood movie, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, in 2003. In the same year she also appeared in Andaaz. This began a long film series that comprised Plan, Kismat (a romantic comedy about the life of a spy), Asambhav, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitrazz, and Asambhav -- all released in 2004. Although most of these films didn't make the cut at the box office Chopra's romantic comedy Mujhse Karogi was a hit. Chopra was just 20 when she made her debut in film with Thamizhan Then she continued the same year with Jeet born to Win. Chopra stated that she hated her debut. "I was ready to quit the business after I had done it! I was unsure of the meaning behind what I was doing." The actress and singer-actor Nick Jonas went public with their relationship during the summer of 2018. The news of their engagement broke in late July, when Jonas proposing on Chopra's birthday, which was her 36th birthday. They were married in an extravagant, multi-day celebration that began December 1, 2018.
