Anna Chlumsky

Actress first recognized as a child actor in the year she appeared as Vada Sultenfuss in the 1991 film My Girl. In 2012, she started playing the role of Amy Brookheimer on the HBO series Veep. The role earned her Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the field of Comedy Series in 2013 and in 2014. Many people still recall the young Chlumsky as Vada Margaret, the character she played in the 1992 film My Girl. After several other roles as a child, Chlumsky took time off from acting to pursue a degree in international relations at the University of Chicago. After graduating, she relocated to New York and worked in publishing. Chlumsky eventually came back to acting and continued her studies at the Atlantic Acting School in New York. She was offered guest roles in the roles of Liz Lemler on 30 Rock, Josie on Cupid and Melissa on White Collar. She also appeared as Miriam Lass, a torture survivor, on Veep. American actress Anna Chlumsky stars as Amy Brookheimer the Vice Chief of Staff to the President, on the popular HBO series Veep. In this role she was nominated for an Emmy Award
